Cheers to a wonderful evening celebrating the close of our ‘#BmorePINK Campaign’ yesterday!
Inspired by October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, the idea for this campaign came from Baltimore Herman Miller representative, Dave Corsones. The concept centered around local architecture & design firms taking the new Herman Miller Eames Blush Pink chair out to Charm City with the mission to create the most beautiful & artistic photo. Photos were then shared on Instagram and hashtagged ‘#BMorePINK’ & ‘#Shellspotting.’
Local A&D firms that participated:
- Arris a Design Studio
- Ammon Heisler Sachs
- Design Collective
- PLDA Interiors
- Hord Coplan Macht
- Marks, Thomas Architects
- NFD Interior Design & Planning
- Ayers Saint Gross
- Cho Benn Holback & Associates
“This was a fun & unique opportunity to unite the Baltimore Architecture & Design community to support and promote breast cancer awareness. We had a great turnout in photo participation,” says Corsones.
Robin Senecal, Architecture & Design Consultant of American Office commented, “We are honored to partner with HermanMiller and do our part to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Each year, we host a creative event with local design firms using the classic Eames molded plastic chair. This year, we wanted our event to really make a difference. By asking local design firms to promote awareness by taking photos of the new Blush Pink Eames chair in the community, the result was phenomenal! 84 artistic and meaningful photos were added to Instagram as a result of the campaign in a short 4 week span! We couldn’t be more thrilled with the efforts of our local firms.”
Ten winning photos of the contest were announced last night – the take-home prize: the new Blush PINK Eames chair!
With a donation total of $625.00 from our PINK party, we’re overjoyed at the involvement we have received and look forward to many more creative and exciting charitable opportunities to come!
* All donations raised from our #BMorePINK Party benefitted the Susan G. Komen – Maryland chapter.
